Jeremy Hogan, A key attorney in the XRP community has given some very insightful thoughts about the Ripple v. SEC lawsuit. Essentially saying that the case is ‘basically over’. The litigation that was brought against Ripple in December of 2020 during SEC Chairman Jay Clayton’s last hours in office, is finally coming to an end. The finish line of the 2 year marathon is now in sight.
Jeremy Hogan stated the following on from his Twitter account today.
“What is going on in the Ripple v. SEC case? 1. The parties have filed with the Court (under seal) reply briefs to each other’s motions for summary judgment. We can’t see these, yet. They also filed numerous exhibits, etc. which we also can’t see.”
“The parties are speaking TODAY about what parts of their briefs they want redacted. The summary judgment briefs from last month really “talked past” each other so THESE are the briefs where we’ll really see how strong each position is. E.g. What response will the SEC have?“
“The briefs are scheduled to be made public next Monday, but last month the SEC ignored that deadline and filed its a day early. SO, be on the lookout anytime Sunday or Monday for those to drop. After that, there’s just one more brief on Nov. 15 and then we are basically DONE!“
