What’s good E.T Fam?! As we inch closer towards 2022, I’m starting to see people ask the question of what is on the horizon? If this is one of the burning thoughts in your mind, I potentially have some good news for you. The year could possibly start off with a huge bang as the January Effect takes place. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the January Effect is a theory that prices rise in January more than any other month of the year. This can be attributed to fresh budgets being redeployed by institutions.
Traditionally, this has been seen in the stock market. However, throughout 2021 we’ve seen an aggressive entry into crypto by institutional investors. Raoul Paul shared a rather interesting thread on Twitter detailing his thoughts around this scenario. Actually, there have been plenty of people tweeting about this theory.
It is VERY important to not that if this scenario does indeed play out like I’m predicting, it would be advisable to seriously consider taking profits.
2022 will more than likely have some ups and plenty of downs to go with it. The January Effect will be the perfect opportunity to gather some ammo for a downtrend. It is important to note that in the grand scheme of things, this might only be a drop in the bucket seeing as how crypto moves in short parabolic waves based on narratives. That means that different sectors will have their day in the sun throughout the year. I’m feeding you all this information early for a reason.
