Crypto.com DeFi Wallet Now Supports NEAR Protocol (NEAR)

Easily store, send, and manage 200+ DeFi tokens

decentralized applications

Crypto.com DeFi Wallet has added NEAR Protocol (NEAR), requires DeFi Wallet V1.15.0 or above, to its growing list of 200+ DeFi tokens, including ATOM, AAVE, DOT, YFI, ETH, BTC, and CRO. With the DeFi Wallet, users can easily send, store, and manage their coins while retaining full control of their private keys and crypto assets.

NEAR Protocol is a decentralized platform where developers can host serverless applications and smart contracts which have easy access to open finance networks and benefit from an ecosystem of open web components.

Unlike other blockchain-based platforms, the NEAR Protocol has been built from the ground up to be the easiest in the world for both developers and their end users while still providing the scalability and security necessary to serve those users. Specifically, NEAR is designed to make it easier to build decentralized applications, especially as a developer familiar only with “traditional” web or app concepts. Onboard users with a smooth experience, even if they aren’t familiar with crypto, tokens, keys, wallets or other artifacts of this ecosystem. Scale your application since the underlying platform automatically expands capacity via sharding without additional costs or effort on your part.

Please note that NEAR Protocol requires 0.00182 NEAR to activate a wallet address. In addition, NEAR Protocol requires all addresses to have a minimum balance to remain active. This balance represents the storage space the account is using on the network, and will go up or down as it uses more or less space.
