Crypto.com: July 2021 Updates

July was another incredible month for us. We proudly announced that Crypto.com became the first-ever official fight kit partner of the UFC. To celebrate this partnership, we gave away 10 tickets to UFC 265 and created an exclusive AR filter on Instagram.

We also became the first cryptocurrency platform to receive an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) License from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA), working closely with the organisation to achieve this important milestone. Adhering to all local and international regulations is a crucial part of our commitment to providing a secure and compliant crypto trading environment for our global user base.

This month, we introduced the new Cronos testnet, or the EVM chain running in parallel to the Crypto.org Chain. It aims to massively scale the DeFi ecosystem by providing developers with the ability to instantly port apps from Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains. Furthermore, Chainlink Price Feeds will be integrated into Cronos as our recommended oracle solution for developers who need external financial market data in their Apps.

On the product-side, we increased interest rates for DOT to up to 12.5% p.a., and introduced 17 new supported coins for card top-ups, making it easy for users to transact with their favourite cryptocurrencies and get rewarded along the way. Read on for details about these updates and more.

Crypto.com became the first-ever official global fight kit partner of the UFC, which means our branding will appear on fight kits and apparel worn by the athletes. First Global Cryptocurrency Platform to Receive an EMI License From the MFSA

We are proud to announce that Crypto.com has become the first global cryptocurrency platform to receive an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) License from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). The Testnet for Crypto.org EVM Chain Cronos Is Now Live

Crypto.com introduced the new testnet for Cronos, which is the EVM chain running in parallel to the Crypto.org Chain. It aims to massively scale the DeFi ecosystem by providing developers with the ability to instantly port DApps from Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
