Protect your account with an added level of security
Today, we are rolling out the Anti-Phishing Code feature in the Crypto.com App to help users protect themselves from phishing attempts. Quick and easy, users can set up a personalised and recognisable code that will be displayed in all legitimate emails from Crypto.com. Exchange users who already set up an Anti-Phishing Code can use the same code for their App emails.
While not new, email phishing has become more sophisticated. Typically hackers will send misleading emails disguised to look like legitimate emails from a business. The intent is to ‘phish’ for personal information, such as credit card numbers or passwords.
The Anti-Phishing Code feature helps reinforce our Defense in Depth approach. With this feature, we aim to improve security for our users and help them transact with peace of mind.
