What did Robinhood and Ripple announce? On October 27, 2026, Ripple and Robinhood announced a partnership with four parts. Robinhood says it will use Rippleās RLUSD stablecoin on the XRP Ledger for institutional settlement across Bitstamp by Robinhood. RLUSD is live today on Robinhood Chain and Bitstamp by Robinhood, and Ripple says it is expected in the Robinhood app later this year. Robinhood will also use Ripple Treasury for cash, liquidity and intercompany netting, and Ripple Prime will offer prime brokerage services to Bitstamp by Robinhood.
In this video we go through the press release line by line: which parts are live today and which are only plans, what āinstitutional settlement on the XRP Ledgerā means in plain English, and where XRP fits. The release does not say Robinhood is buying XRP or adding XRP to the app. XRPās role is on the ledger itself: every transaction pays a small fee in XRP that is burned, and every account keeps a small XRP reserve. We also cover the numbers (28.6 million funded Robinhood customers, RLUSD over $2.4 billion, total stablecoin supply over $300 billion) and Rippleās week: final OCC approval for its national trust bank on October 26, then the Robinhood deal and an expanded BNY collaboration on October 27.
