Valeriy Zamaraiev appointed Zilliqa’s Head of Distributed System Engineering

Crypto has come a long way since its inception with Satoshi Nakamoto’s original Bitcoin whitepaper. At the same time, the space is far from maturing. With NFTs and DeFi only recently slipping into the mainstream and the metaverse slowly taking shape, it’s clear that crypto as a whole still has a long way to grow.

But for the moment, this rapid pace of development creates a competitive environment where finding the right talent is exceedingly difficult. People who possess experience with multiple blockchain projects, cutting edge technologies, and a sharp mind for business are as keenly sought after as they are scarce.

Zilliqa is pleased to announce that we’ve managed to recruit an accomplished talent who ticks all of the above boxes — and more.

Valeriy Zamaraiev joins Zilliqa as Head of Distributed System Engineering and will be responsible for further scaling of the Zilliqa blockchain platform. Valeriy comes from the DFINITY Foundation, where he worked on Developer Infrastructure, and previously Google, where during his eight-year tenure he drove multiple large programmes for YouTube and Google Assistant. Prior to Google, Valeriy led Engineering teams in multiple AI and Distributed Systems startups.

Valeriy will be key in helping to drive our roadmap forward, and his ideas will be instrumental in enabling Zilliqa to further differentiate itself and stand out among the rest of the L1 blockchains.

In terms of his technical and professional experience, bringing Valeriy onboard is a genuine coup for Zilliqa. His impressive track record reflects our commitment to hiring people with deep expertise who will be capable of helping the business grow, launching new projects, and instilling a strong sense of confidence in our users, creators, and stakeholders.

Please join us in welcoming Valeriy to Zilliqa!
