XDC Network Updates of the month September 2026.

September marked another active month for the XDC ecosystem, with progress across real-world asset tokenization, institutional adoption, digital trade, stablecoins, artificial intelligence, and blockchain infrastructure. From an expanded tokenization commitment in Brazil to XDC contributing insights to a World Trade Organization report, developments throughout the month reflected the network’s growing role across both traditional finance and emerging digital markets.
In Brazil, XDC Network and Liqi expanded their tokenization commitment to $2 billion through 2028, after reaching their original $500 million target nine months ahead of schedule. The initiative focuses on regulated financial assets, including receivables, debentures, and corporate credit, as more structured credit activity moves on-chain.
That progress also gained mainstream attention, with XDC featured on CNN Brasil in a discussion around tokenization, real-world assets, and blockchain-based financial infrastructure. The conversation highlighted growing institutional participation in Brazil, the country’s evolving regulatory landscape, and XDC’s involvement in initiatives around the CVM tokenization pilot, reflecting the broader shift from tokenization experiments toward institutional applications and financial infrastructure.
Digital trade also received international attention in September. XDC Network and Murundi Group were featured in Value Generation, a branded-content series presented by Innovate Finance and produced by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions. The story looks at digital trade between India and Australia, demonstrating how blockchain can improve supply-chain traceability and trade documentation, making cross-border trade more transparent, verifiable, and easier to finance. It provides a practical example of how blockchain infrastructure can be applied to real-world global trade.
Institutional access to the XDC ecosystem also continued to expand. 21Shares added staking to its XDC Network ETP, combining exposure to XDC with staking through the existing product, while Bitcoin Suisse added XDC for trading and custody, expanding access through established digital asset infrastructure.
The ecosystem also welcomed BASIS, bringing institutional-grade crypto arbitrage and staking infrastructure to XDC, with opportunities being explored across yield, real-world assets, and the broader on-chain economy. Meanwhile, the range of markets available through the network continued to grow. Through Quote.Trade, markets including oil, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, copper, and natural gas are now available on XDC.
Stablecoins and their role in international trade were another important theme during the month. The World Trade Organization published a new report examining the potential role of stablecoins in international trade, including their use in cross-border payments and settlement.
XDC contributed insights that informed the publication, with the WTO acknowledging XDC Network alongside the Bank for International Settlements, Circle, the Bank of England, and the Swiss National Bank. XDC was the only blockchain network named in the acknowledgements, placing the network within a wider institutional discussion around stablecoins, payments, and the future of international trade.
Across Asia, work continued on digital trade and blockchain infrastructure. SBI XDC Network APAC, TOPPAN, and Ginco are moving forward with a next-generation trade finance demonstration in Osaka, Japan, combining vLEI-based digital corporate identity with blockchain-based trade workflows. The initiative explores how trusted digital identity and distributed ledger technology can work together within trade finance and was selected for support under Osaka Prefecture’s FY2026 financial market development program.
XDC’s institutional validator ecosystem also expanded in the region, with DSRV joining XDC as a Masternode validator. The addition further strengthens infrastructure participation across Japan and Korea and builds on DSRV’s existing collaboration with SBI XDC Network APAC around enterprise blockchain adoption.
AI and blockchain innovation also moved forward in September with the inaugural XDC AI Agents & Blockchain Accelerator, in collaboration with Plug and Play. The program kicked off at the XDC New York office, bringing together projects working across AI agents, payments, digital identity, tokenization, and financial infrastructure.
The selected projects are BlockRun, t54, Hinkal, Synergetics, ICTI, Vishwa, AstraSync AI, XDC AI, Keyban, Quote.Trade, Rupi, and Bond.Credit. The accelerator provides an environment for projects exploring applications at the intersection of AI, blockchain, payments, and digital finance.
Beyond these ecosystem developments, September was another active month for XDC around the world.
In New York, XDC participated in discussions around bringing institutional finance on-chain, including the security, trust, and infrastructure required for wider institutional participation. Conversations also explored AI agents and blockchain, with a focus on practical applications and the infrastructure required to support enterprise-ready AI.
In Dubai, XDC participated in the Digital Trade Forum at Dubai Chambers, contributing to conversations around digital trade and the future of global commerce. Later in the month, the Middle East Stablecoin Forum explored the convergence of AI agents, stablecoin payments, and on-chain settlement, including a live demonstration of XDC AI.
In Canberra, XDC joined the Digital Economy Industry-Government Networker, continuing engagement around blockchain and the development of Australia’s digital economy.
London was another important destination during the month. XDC joined Uphold and STG-3 Group for The Road Ahead: AI × Web3 & Staking, bringing institutions, fintech leaders, and Web3 innovators together to discuss AI, decentralization, institutional staking, governance, risk, and compliance.
A second London event with ComTech Gold focused on tokenization in practice and connecting real-world assets with institutional capital. Discussions explored some of the practical requirements for bringing tokenized assets into institutional markets, including regulation, custody, structuring, distribution, and market infrastructure.
In the United States, XDC was also represented at Sibos Miami, one of the major global gatherings for the banking and financial services industry. Contour Network, powered by XDC, and XDC Payments highlighted developments across digital trade, AI-driven payments, and institutional finance, connecting blockchain infrastructure with the evolving needs of global banking, payments, and commerce.
The month’s global engagement continued at CV Summit in Zurich, bringing together leaders across blockchain, digital assets, and institutional finance, and at Korea Blockchain Week in Seoul, where XDC continued its engagement with Asia’s blockchain and digital asse₹t ecosystem.
Together, September’s developments reflect the breadth of activity taking place across the XDC ecosystem, from tokenized financial assets and digital trade infrastructure to stablecoins, institutional access, AI agents, payments, and network expansion.
Looking ahead to October, XDC will continue its global engagement across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, with upcoming events focused on digital assets, AI, payments, tokenization, and institutional finance.
