XDC Network Ecosystem Update — March 2026 | DeFi, RWA & Institutional Progress

March 2026 continued the strong momentum across the XDC Network, with key developments in DeFi expansion, real-world asset initiatives, and institutional engagement. As the ecosystem evolves, XDC remains focused on building scalable blockchain infrastructure designed for real-world finance, trade, and tokenization.
We also received several messages from the community regarding the current situation in the UAE. We’d like to reassure everyone that operations continue as normal, with the team working remotely, staying aligned with Dubai time, and maintaining full continuity across all activities.
A major highlight this month was the selection of startups for the XDC DeFi Accelerator in partnership with Plug and Play. The selected projects — r2yield, useTeller, Term Labs, LanternFi, Bondon Credit, Bulla Network, TeleSwap, Superlend, Hashfire, NeuroWatt AI, and Hawkish Capital — represent the next phase of DeFi growth on XDC. These teams were chosen to support a clear vision focused on increasing total value locked, strengthening liquidity across the network, and building essential DeFi infrastructure. Their participation marks a significant step toward a more scalable, efficient, and resilient DeFi ecosystem.
Ecosystem development was further strengthened with XDC Network being announced as a supported blockchain in the AUDDapt grant program, aligning with AUDD’s focus on real-world financial use cases such as trade, payments, and tokenization. This initiative opens new opportunities for builders to develop practical applications on XDC, reinforcing its role as a settlement layer for real-world financial activity.
The ecosystem also saw continued growth in decentralized finance through the expansion of GoodDollar on XDC. A new GoodDollar Reserve is now live on the network, enabling native minting of G$ tokens and increasing collateral backing for the protocol. This development strengthens the infrastructure supporting digital universal basic income (UBI), showcasing how blockchain can power more inclusive financial systems.
On the security front, the community was alerted to a malicious address-poisoning attack targeting the XDC Network. The network remained secure, with no impact on core infrastructure or user funds. This serves as an important reminder for users to always verify full wallet addresses and avoid copying addresses directly from transaction history, as security awareness remains critical in a growing ecosystem.
Institutional engagement remained strong throughout the month. The XDC team participated in major global events, including the Digital Asset Summit 2026 in New York and the DC Blockchain Summit in Washington, DC, where discussions focused on tokenization, regulatory developments, and the role of blockchain in modern financial infrastructure.
XDC also marked an important milestone by hosting its first side event at its New York City office, the Tokenization Clinic. The roundtable session brought together industry participants for practical discussions around real-world asset tokenization and institutional adoption. This event marked the beginning of a new series of engagements as XDC continues to expand its presence in New York, with more sessions planned at the Chelsea Arts Tower.
Beyond these engagements, the XDC team participated in several successful global events throughout the month, including the Web3 Banking Symposium in Zurich, the 24th NextGen Payments and RegTech Forum in Switzerland, and Smart Summit 2026 in Brazil. Across these events, the team connected with financial institutions, regulators, and industry leaders, driving conversations around blockchain adoption, digital payments, and real-world asset infrastructure.
Looking ahead to April, the XDC team will continue its global presence across key industry events, including Money20/20 Asia from April 21 to 23, the Digital Assets Summit in El Salvador on April 15, and the Hong Kong Web3 Festival on April 20. Community members and ecosystem partners are encouraged to connect with the team during these events.
