Application of the Week

This week I’m featuring the Stellar Community Fund!

long-term utilities

A bit of time has past since I last mentioned it, so I want to remind everyone that you have 14 days to get your projects submitted to the SCF Seed Fund. The Seed fund is seeking to support early-stage Stellar development of long-term utilities for the ecosystem and viable, for-profit, businesses building products and services for the world.

So far there are 20 submissions in the pool and the competition is heating up. Remember: Of the initial entries, only 3–5 are chosen by a nomination panel of SDF and community members — so bring your A game!

You can find more details regarding submission requirements and this round’s timeline here.

Releases and Updates

Horizon v2.0.0 Beta was released on Dec. 21!

DO NOT USE IN PRODUCTION.

This release has Captive Stellar-Core mode enabled by default. Captive mode relaxes Horizon’s operational requirements. It allows running Horizon without a fully fledged Core instance and, most importantly, without a Core database. More information about this new mode can be found in the Captive Core doc.

Note: This version may contain bugs. If you run into issues please check Known Issues or report an issue. Please ask questions in Keybase or Stack Exchange.
